Over the past four years, significant changes have swept through both businesses and personal lives, mirroring the upheaval experienced globally. Despite this whirlwind, my personal goals remained steadfast, albeit achieved amidst a backdrop of disappointment, frustration, and countless cherished memories that eventually overshadowed the initial emotions. Why? Because amidst the chaos, my focus shifted from a relentless pursuit of photo shoots to aiding families in finding their forever homes, all the while employing a method to capture our community in its entirety and spread joy through high-quality sports and school portraits.
I vividly remember my Dad's advice shortly after high school, urging me to photograph sports leagues—a notion I initially dismissed, adamant about avoiding high-volume portraiture. Yet, here I am, nearly two decades later, my photography goals transformed almost nine years ago. My mission expanded, my mindset shifted beyond that of a photographer. Having a passion for interior design since my high school days, my world continuously evolved through encounters with diverse individuals, equipping me with the tools, and knowledge necessary to realize my aspirations with photography and real estate.
Throughout this journey, there were numerous instances of failure, moments of disbelief, and occasions where the elation of witnessing faces light up upon beholding a photograph or a home overwhelmed me—happy tears often accompanying these heartfelt reactions. While some might perceive this as self-centered, for me, it's the joy of witnessing others' happiness that truly fuels my spirit.
This year my wait of a lot of my goals will probably come to light. You will notice that expanding my social media presence is not my goal. I rather be with people than posting to make me known to the keyboard world. Also, not just focus on relationships but to have the time to chase bigger projects that involve physical labor. It's not the easy road at times. On a personal note, today happens to be my birthday, so I wanted to provide you with a brief update. If that counts as one... Haha!
I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for entrusting me with your weddings, family moments, and home-buying endeavors. Words cannot adequately convey how much I value my clients.
'There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. What do workers gain from their toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end." -Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 NIV
